My first encounter with Inner Dance was at Bahay Kalipay in Palawan, where I was offered an opportunity to experience a practice that later I would discover would expand the openness of my consciousness, the liberation of my understanding of energy of self connected to all other and the opportunity to encounter spirit with release of fear and expectation. I have continued on this path, not in seeking to so quickly, but because I was immersed with the guidance of sister Serena Olsen a master practitioner who has facilitated Inner Dance around the world. I was called to delve in to the practice and allow it to become a means for me to continue in my journey of understanding the expansiveness of this living, to challenge and disrupt boundaries and to free myself of confines of the mind and the physical world.

I use Inner Dance as a tool for Decolonization and Re-indigenization work for the mind, body and spirit and has found that participants leave each session with a deeper sense of understanding self in relation to the world, in exchange with the living, the created, the elemental and the spiritual. Each session reveals specific lessons of self and in relation to the energetic circle that is formed in each gathering.

This all sounds so intense and profound, I am sure. And it is. It is also all in the way we enter any life experience. Whether we walk with wonderment and humbled by the miracle of every moment or if we have forgotten how to live in this way. Every moment in life can be as intense and profound as a moment of Inner Dance. This is what I have learned in my exchanges with this practice.

I want to invite you to discover this with me. There is a science to connect to this that is in association to the brain and waves of energy and vibration, and also, there is the unexplainable, the unknown, that may never be fully known, that lies in our intuition, in our ability to connect to spirit.  All it takes is trust in self and all else that holds you in a moment of abandon from the constructed world we have prescribed to.

If you are interested in a group gathering for Inner Dance or for a private exchange, please contact me.

From Bahay Kalipay Site "What is Inner Dance?":

"While living as a hermit for two years on coconuts and bananas, Pi Villaraza, chanced upon this powerful energy which has the power to catapult people into the world of heightened awareness, restoring balance and wholeness.

The Inner Dance is a transformative self-awakening process that organically leads anyone in surrender towards authentic and meaningful existence through intuitive healing, releasework, energy awareness, live foods and ecological lifestyles, which can eventually assist in the planet’s healing and evolution in a time of accelerated global awakening process. Inner Dance is the intuitive remembrance of the true self through heightened inner awareness of bodies, minds and emotions as Energy. Coming to the awareness of this energy brings people to a more strengthened, sustainable and harmonious existence with other beings and the planet itself.

As the Inner Dance process peels away the layers of our conditioned mental limitations, it slowly reveals our deeper core principles and the activation of our Birth Vision – our primary reason for existing on the planet to begin with. It is in this remembrance that the Inner Dance ultimately leads participants to intuitively evolve in response to global shifts and to embrace a more harmonious way of existing on our planet.

In a nutshell, Inner Dance is a transformative shift in consciousness, one that also shifts the physical body. Alongside this shift is the remembrance of  our wholeness – Oneness — organically leading us to live in harmony with nature.  It leads us to a spiritual life on earth, an existence of simplicity, sacredness, sustainability.

Sumayaw, Sumayaw, Sumayaw: Dance with Our Ancestral Grief

"I experienced Inner Dance with JL for the first time this past New Year's eve, after a good friend invited me to join, and it was truly a life-altering. The practice opened me up to a deeper level of consciousness and inner knowledge that left me feeling renewed, grounded, and more open than I've been in a long time. Although at first I did not know what to expect, I felt an immediate sense of calm and welcoming from JL and the thoughtful ways in which she cultivated the sacredness of the space and community that we shared. Everyone in the session had their own unique experience, and JL did an amazing job of providing personal attention and support, as well as creating the opportunity for us to reflect and share our individual experiences with each other. I highly recommend Inner Dance with JL to anyone who feels spiritually stuck, and ready to connect more intimately with their higher purpose in life."-  Camille Hoffman, Visual Artist

"JL is an incredible facilitator. She creates a super safe space and gives every single participant time to be heard and unpack afterwards, and engages in dialogue sharing her experience working with each person's energy. I've been blessed to have witnessed powerful awakenings, visions, shifts, and messages for myself and others during these sessions. I'm definitely looking forward to continuing this practice with JL and expanding my awareness in the spaces she creates." - Stephanie Gancayco, Founder of HellaPinay.com

"JL sets very particular intentions for each Inner Dance ceremony. I admire that there is a call for something specific because all the bodies that decide to gather that day, come with the same intentions, offerings, and call for support. JL is great support and she creates a space where everyone in the room will be great support.

I have participated in JL's Inner Dance three separate time. Each time I felt a little more healed than I came, meaning able to cultivate clearer focus on the things that are not serving me, and working to clean them out. JL helps create this space, in a city where these spaces are most needed, but very limited to our community. It's hard to explain what really is happening during an Inner Dance, I myself am still learning which is why I make efforts to participate as frequently as my resources allow. But if you're curious, have never been, and are able, I recommend inviting your own experience."- Aurerose Piana, Writer
